Soho Wines Havana Pinot Noir
Soho Wines make this Pinot Noir from Marlborough fruit by enlisting local legend Dave Clouston to make the wine. The fruit is grown on Soho’s Southern Valleys vineyard on a fully organic plot. This site benefits from a cooler micro-climate that some parts of Marlborough and is able to produce grapes with a wonderful balance of ripe tannin, and crunchy fruit. The wine is given a light-touched ageing on French oak. The result is a wine that is reminiscent of good Vosne-Romanee for a combination of grace and power. It is a wine with a decade’s cellaring potential and admirably well priced for a wine of this aromatic intensity.
