Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir
This is a varietal Pinot Noir grown in a cool, breezy climate. It is one of very few fine South African wines from this variety. It is aged in slightly less than 50% new French oak for 10 months after fermentation and shows an amazing mix of red fruit characteristics as well as herbs, sweet spice and tobacco over very fine tannins. Ready to drink now and is very capable of 10+ years improvement in the cellar. An iconic and delightful expression of Pinot.
