Soho Wines Stella Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is arguably the most terroir-driven and recognisable New World wine. This example is a credit to the style. It is made from fruit grown in the Awatere, Upper & Lower Wairau, and Southern valleys. The grapes are lovingly handpicked and made into wine by local wine magician David Clouston. The result is a wine that shows all of the fresh fruit and grassy aromas and amazing perfume so typical and attractive of New Zealand Sav. A little bit of time spent in the winery gives this wine a little bit more texture on the palate and results in a wine of unusual finesse. It also has a little bit of cellaring potential – although should be drunk within five years of the vintage.
